Making A Movie

What Movie To Create?
Before you start writing your script you will probably ask yourself: "What movie should I create?" This is a normal question for a rookie writer. But, let me tell you something, don't think - create!
The golden rule - don't ask anyone, "Should I create a movie script?" Or, "What movie should I create?" Just shut up and work!
Nobody will help you. Moreover, many people will try to discourage you from doing it.
Many writers look for "happy" and "winning" formulas to create a new blockbuster and bestselling picture.
Don't think about the money in the first place! You're creating an interesting story, not a business plan!
Yes, it's true: if you're working only with the premise to make money, you'll probably create a mediocore movie, or one that "sucks". The money and its distribution is a tool, which you must activate after your script has already been created! But before that, tune up on the ART way, and then start writing!
Many writers also read the guides such as, "10 rules on how to create your story", "top 15 steps to make your best movie", etc.
There are no formulas and no reliable tips! Forget about your film school forever!
Don't waste your time! Your mission is to create a story that you can see inside yourself - the vision. And this is the ART way that I mentioned before. If you create the vision of your picture inside your head, you'll be able to create the script on paper. Believe me, this is true!
What to do if you have no vision?
-
Read movie scripts.
-
Hire a ghostwriter.
-
Train using slideshows.
-
Make short music clips.
-
Create a short zombie movie (classic way).
-
Look at Writing A Movie Script .
-
Find a source of inspiration.
-
Convert to a religion.
-
Try some weed.
It may seem pessimistic, but if you haven't any vision, your progress will be limited, or brought to a screeching halt! I don't mean to say you can't make a movie without your own vision, but as a writer, it's like being a boxer without any courage.
The vision is your spirit. The spirit is your formula.
Create a controversial story with a message! Yes, with a message! Every movie, even a “zombie movie” should contain a message! If your script is just a conversation without a core message, it's bad! The message can be evaluated in different subtle ways. Or, it can be open and obvious. No matter what, just try to resolve some philosophical or moral problems with your heroes.
Don't try to copy other works, it will look silly.
We all know that the movie is art and it repeats itself. Even talented writers are creating things what can remind us of other works, and that’s normal. Actually, we all know that movies sometimes repeat the same message, but in different forms. But, I recommend that you don't copy the forms. Instead, create your own story, dialogs and style! It's possible!
Create a movie that you like!
The movie that you're creating must be interesting for yourself, firstly. Regard it as something that you're creating only for yourself because, if you don’t like it, nobody will!
Don't choose the style or "template" base for your future movie.
Don't start with thoughts like, "Okay, if it is a horror movie, it will be a horror story like the others!" There are no boundaries for you. You can make a drama-horror-comedy-musical! Mix up different styles that you like more or...
Create your own style!
Work hard, without any breaks, and be creative! Create unexpected moments and dialogs even if people say you're crazy for so doing! They just envy you because they’re scared, or can't do what you're doing! And remember, the dialogs must be realistic and vivid! Look at your work like it’s a game: it's exciting, it's hilarious, it's unpredictable and colorful as a rainbow!
